Youth Engagement Solutions, in partnership with Metropolitan, are on the verge of completing our first Community Football Programme.
The project has been successful, attracting over 20 Metropolitan residents in addition to a further 40 young people from surrounding areas. Coaches from Youth Engagement Solutions/Cricklewood Wanderers have been training participants for the past 15 weeks, readying them for the 2017/18 seasons and a tour to Canada.
Metropolitan provided sponsorship for a local 11 aside team, Hilltop FC, and additionally have entered their own team into Wembley Powerleague- and the Metropolitan Hilltop 7aside team are currently top of their division.
Coaches from Youth Engagement Solutions/Cricklewood Wanderers are currently running Powerleague match days, though 2 Metropolitan residents have recently completed their level 1 coaching badges (sponsored by the project) and will soon be taking control of the Powerleague team to complete the handover.
6 players also attended a business and employability workshop sponsored by the John Lewis Partnership.
