Engaged 512 young people between July 2016 & July 2017.
202 young people aged 19 and under involved in youth projects.
Achieved 94 job outcomes for customers in our last reporting year.
Over 140 job outcomes since our employment service launched in Jan ’16.
120+ workshop attendees for Employment, Careers, Skills & Business.
Helped customers find employment that they really wanted with employers such as: The Department for Education, the NHS, Local Authorities, Met Police, John Lewis, and many more.
Successfully exceeded targets in 2 Employment Support contracts with the Department for Work and Pensions, completing both comfortably within the expected timeframe.
57 young people engaged through our Business Support Programme with Genesis HA.
6 young people launched new businesses with our help, 4 businesses already running are also being supported by our programme.
Delivered our first Community Football Programme in Wembley, engaging over 70 young people with Metropolitan Housing.
Delivered an Enrichment Programme for students with an inner London Pupil Referral Unit.
Piloted female only Self Defence classes, to be continued in 2018 in partnership with Brent Council.
Hosted Work Experience Placements for 7 customers.
Recently launched an “in-work” employment support service, for Brent residents who are affected by in-work poverty, zero hour contracts or simply want to advance in their career.
Our football club Cricklewood Wanderers FC (CWFC) is growing:
– The team is on course for promotion
– 7 players/former players are currently employed by YES as coaches/in the office.
– 2 new male CWFC youth teams and a new female CWFC U14 team.
Cricklewood Wanderers FC players have progressed into professional football, in Switzerland, Australia, and with Sporting Lisbon.
Entered a new School Football Programme partnership with the Harris Academy, St John’s Wood. Cricklewood Wanderers FC coaches are managing 5 Harris teams.
YES/Cricklewood Wanderers FC creates future youth leaders. Our Youth Coordinator & several coaches are/were CWFC players; 3 customers are studying PGCEs; 2 found work as Teaching Assistants & 2 found work in nurseries.
